Vertical Farming Network
Peter Lane is a farmer’s son who has been designing farm automation systems since he was 11, and on leaving school in 1969, he entered the electrical and controls industry. By 1979 he was working on the installation and commissioning of electrical and controls systems on projects worldwide, from Azerbaijan to Canada, and most countries in between, working his way up from technician to project manager. Industries have included every type of power generation and distribution, pharmaceutical and petrochemical plants, food and beverage production, water treatment from sewage to ultra pure, car plants, material handling projects, and most every kind of processing plants imaginable.
Peter has been interested in vertical farming since the mid 1980’s, and started to work on the engineering design of vertical farming systems since 2008.
He now has his office and training facility at the Royal Agriculture University in Cirencester and is collaborating with the RAU on a number of projects.
