About Vertical Farming Network

The vertical farming network (VFN), is a UK for profit company, that has been set up to promote vertical farming in all it’s forms, from pure vertical systems to hybrid systems, which include conventional 2-dimensional systems such as glass houses and field crop production.

It’s main focus is to bring all stakeholders to the table including growers, academia, various governmental agencies, engineering companies, and of course the financial industry, without whom projects simply will remain dreams and wishful thinking.

Our vision at the vertical farming network, is to expand the industry by bringing together all those stakeholders in the industry needed to progress the vertical farming industry, and to make vertical farms in all their forms economically viable. Stakeholders include growers, academia, engineering companies, sales and marketing, wholesalers, retailers and logistics companies, and of course the finance industry.

Our purpose is to engineer solutions that address the key issues of high initial CAPEX costs, high installation costs, high energy costs and high O&M costs, which are currently holding back the industry.

We also wish to educate those interested in the industry, that vertical farming is more than just about leafy greens and that all things are possible with just a little imagination and knowhow.
